Slack Notifications
With Slack integration, you’ll receive a descriptive alarm immediately into your chosen Slack channel, allowing you to automatically alert those that ‘need to know’. The alert includes some quick overview details to help set expectations and provide an insight into the full alarm. And, of course, a link is provided to take you directly to your Breach Insider dashboard, allowing you to view all the details & evidence, within seconds of the alarm occurring.
How to enable Slack integration
Step 1: Authorise Slack via the Settings page
Once you are logged into your account, select Settings from the navigation menu, and scroll down to Alerting Integrations. Here you will see the ‘Add to Slack’, which when clicked will redirect you to Slack to authorise the Breach Insider application.
Step 2: Selecting a Slack channel
Once authorised, you will be returned to Breach Insider to select the channel where the alerts will be sent.
How to update your Slack settings
Step 1: Authorise Slack via the Settings page
Visit the Settings page and scroll to Alerting Integrations, and select the Configure button. The following screen will allow you to:
- Update the channel where the alerts are posted.
- Temporarily disable the alerting integration with Slack
- Or, remove the integration entirely, allowing you to reconfigure from a fresh start.
